ANA NASARAWA SET TO HOST ANA@40 NATIONWIDE 10-CITIES CELEBRATION

The train of the ANA@40 nationwide 10-Cities Celebration will be berthing in Lafia, North Central Nigeria, come 27th October 2021, with the theme: "Creative Writing: The new Solid Mineral" 

The special guest of honour is His Excellency, Engr. A.A. Sule, The Executive Governor, Nasarawa State. Speaker of the day is the highly revered Professor Al-Bishak (M.O.N), ANA fellow, The Chairman of the occasion is Dr. Zainab Ahmed, Former Secretary to the State Government, Nasarawa State Government and the Royal father of the day is HRH Hon. Justice Sidi Bage Muhammed, 1, Emir of Lafia. 

The much awaited event from the State ANA once named the most Literary awaken State, would include, Lecture, Prize Presentation, Performances, Investiture, Exhibition and lots more. The venue is Faculty of Science Hall, Adamu Adamu Complex, FuLafia. Time: 10am prompt.  

Part of the broad objectives of the workshop is to awaken interest in a much neglected aspect of tourism, which is literary tourism, and to inculcate in the participants the important place of tourism in Literature, especially creative writing, which is as important as Solid Mineral which Nasarawa State is known for.

According to the ANA Nasarawa Chairperson, Dr. Chika Onyashiwa, the workshop is expected to reawaken interest in the abandoned natural/artificial locales and historical sites in Nasarawa State into the attention of the public, especially the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Because, it is the duty of a writer to beautify, research, imagine, scavenge and unburied all his lost, forgotten histories and natural wonders, locales that should recircle creativity without interruption.
