ANA ATTENDS LABO YARI’S DAUGHTER WEDDING IN KATSINA

The Vice President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Hajia Farida Muhammed last week Thursday 16th of September, 2021 honoured the invitation to attend the wedding ceremony of the daughter of Alhaji Labo Yari, a member of ANA’s Board of Trustees.
The wedding ceremony which took place at the Katsina Motel was also attended by the Chairman and Secretary of ANA in Katsina State.
According to the statement, ANA President, Mr. Camillus Ukah was physically represented by his Vice President, Hajia Farida Muhammed.
In ANA’s message to the new couple, Hajia Faridah Muhammed advised them to commit their relationship to Allah and never to give up on each other throughout the union. She also advised them to live in peace.
In appreciation of ANA’s attendance at his daughter’s wedding, Alhaji Yabo Yari expressed his gratitude to ANA under the leadership of Camillus Ukah for their support and presence during and after the wedding ceremony.
Alhaji Labo Yari, a member of ANA’s Board of Trustees and author of Climate of Corruption, the first novel in English language to be published in Northern Nigeria. He is one of the renowned pioneer Nigerian writers. He is particularly famous for his highly imaginative narrative style that portrays the social realities of the Hausa/Muslim community. Yari is among the first generation of Nigerian writers and one of the founders of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA).
