ANA ATTENDS FUNERAL SERVICE OF COL. KK SHAW’S MOTHER

The President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Camillus Ukah on Friday, 17th of September 2021 attended the funeral and thanksgiving service of the Late Chief Mrs. Caroline Awele Shaw JP, Mother of Mr. Kolawola Shaw, the Chief Executive Officer of Korlie Mobs Venture Limited. The developer in charge of building the Mamman Vatsa Writers Village.
In a statement made available to pressmen on Tuesday, ANA President said the Late Chief Mrs. Caroline Awele Shaw JP gave back to the Society through her philanthropic gesture. A Leader who loved her family, community and who served them well. It was indeed a celebration of a worthy life lived by Col. KK Shaw’s mother. Chief Mrs. Caroline Awele Shaw’s legacy was that of service to God and humanity through her leadership and philanthropic gesture.
The commendation service for the Late Chief Mrs. Caroline Awele Shaw JP, the Iyalode of Akooreland in Ogun State was held at the First African Church Mission, Jehovah Shalom Cathedral Broad Street Lagos on Thursday 16th of September, 2021.
The Grand Burial Party for Chief Mrs. Caroline Awele Shaw JP was held at the Square Entertainment and Event Centre, Ikeja Lagos on Sunday 19th September 2021.
Chief Mrs. Caroline Awele Shaw JP was the Grandmother of the New Olu of Warri, His Majesty Tsola Emiko Alunwatse III. In attendance at the Grand Burial Party were the Mother of Olu of Warri, Iye Olu Chief Mrs. Gladys Durorike Emiko. And His siblings Chief Mrs. Ayodele Loditan, Col. Chief Abayomi Shaw Rtd., Chief Shina Shaw among others.
Chief Mrs. Caroline Awele Shaw JP was born on the 28th of August 1932 at Obalosako Compound Totoro, Owu, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Her parents were Pa Ezekiel Adewunmi and Madam Adeline Folashade Akinwole of blessed memories.
Chief Mrs. Caroline Awele Shaw JP’s Paternal Grandmother, Princess Gbogboade Reigned as the Olowu of Owu Abeokuta from 1938-1946. Chief Mrs. Caroline Awele Shaw JP attended African Church School Totoro Abeokuta and Methodist Girl’s School Abeokuta in 1943. She was a Teacher at Baptist School Moloney Obalende Lagos and got married to Late Pa Ebenezer Oladunni Shaw JP on the 9th Dec. 1951.
Chief Mrs. Caroline Awele Shaw JP was a Typist at the Secretariat Broad Lagos and owned a Supermarket in Ibadan, Oyo State. She was a community leader and philanthropist who helped facilitated electricity for her village, Akoore and many other Cities in Ado Odo Ota LGA of Ogun State. She was installed as the First Iyalode of Akoore Town on the 11th of April 2009 and later as the Iya Ijo of the First Anglican Church, Jehovah Shalom, Lagos.
The Shaw, Oluwatosin, Adebo and Adesida families, friends and family members graced Chief Mrs. Caroline Awele Shaw’s Grand Burial Party on Sunday 19th September 2021.
Other important dignitaries present at the Burial Party were: HRM Oba Surveyor Adetunji Osho and Olori Stella Osho, Asiwaju Rabiu Oluwa, Chief Yinka Arogundade, Prince Bisi Olatilo, Chairman/CEO of Biscons Communications, Prince Adelana Adeshida former Vice Chairman of Island’s Club (his wife is one of the Children of Chief Mrs. Caroline Awele Shaw JP.
Camillus Ukah, ANA President finally extended the condolences of ANA Board of Trustees, Advisory Council, Council of Chairmen and Secretaries, ANA Members to Col. KK Shaw and all members of the deceased’s family.
