ANA CONSTITUTES CARETAKER COMMITTEE FOR NIGER STATE
The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has constituted a new Caretaker Committee for the Niger State chapter of the Association.
The Association’s National Publicity Secretary (South), Wole Adedoyin, disclosed this in a statement issued by the General Secretary of the Association, Maik Ortserga in Makurdi on Tuesday.
The new State Caretaker Committee, according to the Statement is chaired by Ndagi Abdullahi, Keyna Eshika as Vice Chairperson, Amusa Tajudeen Lasisi as Secretary, Oluwaseun Olabode Pius as Assistant Secretary, Emily Ogoli as Treasurer, Hashimu Musa Abubakar as PRO, Saba Mohammed as Financial Secretary, Angela Gabriel Asihi as Welfare Officer, Samuel Alfred as Ex-Officio I and lastly, Felicia Omolola as Ex-Officio II.
The statement said that the appointment is for three month in line with the provision of the Association’s constitution.
The caretaker committee is to start immediately and work towards conducting elections and returning the chapter to its glorious past.
“By this appointment, they are expected to provide effective leadership for our Association by ensuring its growth and development in terms of membership drive, organizing literary activities and promotion of reading culture in Niger State in line with the constitution of the Association, the statement added.
ANA finally wished the newly appointed Caretaker Committee a fruitful tenure.
