ANA PRESIDENT CAMILLUS UKAH GREETS MUSLIMS AT RAMADAN

ANA President, Camillus Ukah has felicitated with the Muslim community on the sighting of the crescent which indicates the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement by the National Publicity Secretary (South), Wole Adedoyin said Ramadan fasting and prayers is a test of endurance and dedication to the Muslims’ faith.

According to the Statement, “Among the Muslim festivals, it is Ramadan which is said to be the most popular festival and holds great religious significance. Ramadan is observed all over the world as fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad according to Islamic belief. The annual observance of Ramadan is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam and lasts twenty-nine to thirty days, from one sighting of the crescent moon to the next.”

Camillus Ukah urged Muslims to promote the beauty of their faith through positive personal conducts during this fasting period and to take the center stage in promoting and spreading love among fellow Nigerians in order to consolidate our unity.

ANA President finally noted that peace and unity are the greatest assets that should not be taken for granted by Nigerians and further advised Nigerians to observe Covid-19 Protocols put in place by the Federal Government during and after the fasting period.
