THE ANA LAND REVIEW COMMITTEE
In order to create a transparent atmosphere for literary productivity to thrive without undue misgivings concerning the ANA land in Abuja, an ANA Land Review Committee has been set up in accordance with a motion moved during the Emergency General Meeting (EGM) in Makurdion the 17th of July, 2020 demanding that an independent probe panel on the land should be set up immediately by the incoming ANA National Executive. This led tothe resolution reached during the inaugural National Executive Council meeting in Owerri, Imo State on Saturday 5th September, 2020. The fourth item on the list of resolutions was that a committee would be set up to collate and investigate claims and grievances (if they exist) concerning the Association’s property in Mpape Abuja from 1985 till ANA Convention 2019. This very important committee is made up of the following distinguished personalities:

2. Engr Emmanuel Frank-Opigo (Secretary)
3. Barr. John OnuOnwe
4. Prof. Mabel Evwierhoma
5. Mr. Rufus Kehinde
6. Dr. Joshua Agbo
7. Mr. Khalid Imam
8. Mr. HyeladziraAli Balami
TERMS OF REFERENCE
The ANA Land Review Committee is expected to work within a time frame of five
weeks in line with the following terms of reference:
1. To review the developments on ANA Land from 1985
to 2019.
2. Engage with former Presidents and past National
Executives of ANA to ascertain their operations on ANA Land during their
tenures of office.
3. Review past and present contractual documents that
ANA had/has signed with third parties and developers.
4. Ascertain the present level of development on the land
and engage with the current developer (KMVL).
5. Receive memoranda from ANA members with useful
information and suggestions about the land.
6. Recommend to the Association “the way forward” in
getting the land developed to completion/ its future management.
CONCLUSION
We believe the Committee will complete its work and bring clarity to all issues
pertaining to ANA Land.
