CAMILLUS UKAH, ANA PRESIDENT, DEBUNKS FAKE NEWS OF POLICE ARREST. SAYS IT IS A PLOT TO MISLEAD AND ACCUSE ANA MEMBERS
The President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Mr. Camillus Chimah Ukah has debunked the claim of arrest of some prominent ANA members by the police over alleged meeting which took place at the Mamman Vatsa Writer's Village with the ANA Land Developer, Col. K.K Shaw, MD KMVL.
Camillus Ukah posited that the statement might be a calculated attempt by Maiwada and his fellow detractors to tarnish the image of the association and to bring it down.
According to Camillus Ukah, “Our attention was drawn to false, mischievous and malicious statements currently on social media that I and the immediate past president of ANA, Mallam Denja Abdulahi were arrested by Mpape Police for breaking into Mamman Vatsa Writer's Village. The statement is not only false but a ploy to mislead and confuse the good members of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA). Nobody was arrested; we have taken over the national secretariat of ANA and held an emergency meeting with the ANA Land Developer, in person of Col. K.K Shaw, MD KMVL.”
“We advise Maiwada and his bulldogs to desist from their malicious acts of slander against the immediate past President of ANA, Mallam Denja Abdulahi and our Association.”
Camillus Ukah expressed surprise at the statement released by Maiwada’s bulldog, Dada Korede in which he misrepresented "facts of the meeting".
