ANA DISSOLVES EDO EXCO, SETS UP CARETAKER COMMITTEE
The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Edo State Chapter has setup a seven member Caretaker executive committee (EXCO) to run the affairs of the Association in the meantime.
This has come on the heels of the expiration of the tenure of the last Executives and the delay in conducting fresh elections.
The inauguration of the newly constituted ANA Edo Caretaker executive committee took place during an emergency meeting of the chapter that was held last week in Benin, the Capital of Edo State.
It was reported that Edward Oviawe emerged the Caretaker Chairman, while Godstime Assin was emerged Secretary. The composition of Caretaker executive committee exercise was monitored by ANA National representative sent by ANA National President, Mr. Camillus Chimah Ukah.
In his acceptance speech, Edward Oviawe promised to run an open door and inclusive administration. He further solicited the unwavering support of ANA Edo members to enable the newly constituted Caretaker committee to succeed.
Other appointed officials included, Ekata Felix Agbonifo (Vice Chairman), Isaiah Ebhodage (Assistant Secretary), Catherine Oshomah (Treasurer), Precious Asabor (Auditor) and Prosper Ifidon (PRO).
The national EXCO has since congratulated them through a letter signed by the National Secretary.
Nice move. ANA ,EDO will never again be hijacked by some egotistic elements who had taken it as their personal enterprise!
